Help develop, promote, and execute U.S. Chamber programs and policy positions relating to U.S. trade and investment in the China economic, commercial, and trade policy arenas.
Remain informed on China trade and investment issues; participate in the strategic development and implementation of a variety of activities on behalf of Chamber members; coordinate outreach to Chamber members; develop reports and position papers to government officials, corporate members, policy committees, the Chamber federation, and media outlets; communicate the Chamber’s message in Beijing and Washington; write briefings, testimony, speeches, and other materials; and research, draft, and present narrative and statistical analysis on trade and foreign investment trends; strengthen the U.S.–China Business Dialogue; and contribute materials for the Chamber’s Web site.
4 years’ experience working with business and trade issues focused on China; overseas experience in a China-related business or policy context; an understanding of the trade policy formulation process and a range of issues relating to U.S. trade and investment in China; familiarity with the U.S. Congress and with the broader Washington policy environment on China-related matters and PRC government practices and policies; knowledge of the U.S. business community operating in the China marketplace; superior writing; strong interpersonal, communications, presentation, and Chinese language skills; and ability to travel overseas. Advanced degree in international relations, international business, or equivalent ; and work experience with the financial services, energy, or environment sectors preferred. Salary to $67K, depending on experience. We are unable to provide sponsorship.
